The COVID-19 pandemic was a hard time for many it still is for many of us. Some have taken to binge-watching Netflix, Disney+, Crunchyroll or whatever. Others, such as our assortment of successful traders took matters into their own hands by signing up for a fully funded trading account (learn more) and turned the pandemic into an opportunity.
Some are already possessed the experience, and some had just started. Some are currently learning with us (how to learn with us). Of course, there are many more success stories currently being written as I’m writing this right now.
If you talk to someone who successfully managed a fully funded trading account, especially those that passed our funding conditions, you will find common themes. Anthony James perfectly demonstrates them (I hope those of you who have been reading for a while are getting to the stage where you are starting to pick up the trends and those you are new are beginning will be noticing similarities).
There are a couple of points he noted which I believe are worth highlighting. One has always been essential, another point which has become increasingly important since isolation has become an issue since the pandemic. The first: treat trading as a business which means you should go with a plan, something you will notice. We’ve written pieces time and time again to draw on critical attributes that are alluded here.
The other point is the importance of a community, retail trading is generally a lonely endeavour and more so during the pandemic. Hence, having a group of like-minded individuals to keep you motivated is something that will help, especially during the tough times. Indeed this has been mentioned in other articles, but this cannot be stressed enough.
As briefly mentioned, Anthony’s story does briefly touch on these points and more. Pay attention as he is one of the latest traders to graduate from evaluation trader into one of our portfolio managers. I would strongly recommend finding the common themes between himself and other past success stories and ensuring you have these traits. (Feel free to speak to one of our experienced staff who have helped many through this!)
