Funded Trader Program. Pause. What do you think when you hear that – or rather read that? Many believe it’s an opportunity to get rich. However, we will impart this knowledge for free: it is not as easy as it sounds.
A funded trader program is excellent because it removes the excuse of “if only I had funding” and shows your true abilities as a trader trading as a prop trader would. (Check out our offering, we offer the funding with the fairest terms.)
Once you give many the funding, a lot of their weaknesses get exposed very quickly. For instance, they do not listen to the most powerful and winning tip of all time: stick to your trade plan. Once most people get the funding, they succumb to what is dubbed as the “House Money effect”. One of the reasons for this is because they often do not follow the trade plans that they so intelligently designed.
As the adage goes failure to prepare is preparing to fail. So, imagine, what they would have said about traders who prepare, but then disregard their preparation when things get tough?! Usually emotions, namely hope and fear will cause this. We wrote a great piece about how emotional intelligence can help your trading.
It is no coincidence that the best traders are the ones who follow their trade plans to the letter, religiously, almost robotically, in fact. These are ones we find pass the funded trader program and the conditions placed upon them. It is a remarkable skill to follow your own conditions while respecting the risk parameters of your funders.
As you can see from Zine’s interview, he worked hard on creating his strategy which worked well for him which allowed him to obtain a stable equity curve; something that external investors always find extremely attractive.
What you will notice is that he understands his strategy including its advantages and limitations. He does not try to be a jack of all trades (pun-unintended). This allows him to focus on his key trading style and really home in on it. And you can see the fruits of his labour by successfully passing the evaluation of the funded trader program. But please look below to hear more about him and his experience!
